Questions to consider
Before you begin: How do I feel today?
After you complete the chakra connection: How do I feel now? What did I notice or learn?
For the first seven days the focus will be on the qualities of color, the elements, and foods of one of the main chakras.
Color is the physical manifestation of a vibration. Color healing has been one way of working with the chakras since the time of ancient Egypt. Each chakra is associated with a color. To bring color into your energy field you may want to wear the color that corresponds to the chakra in need of balancing/healing.
Perhaps you’ve heard the phrase “food as medicine”. We are energy and food is energy. The food we eat can feed our energy system.
The Root Chakra – Day 1
The root chakra is associated with EARTH element. It is our anchor to the earth. The color is red. Foods associated with the root chakra are foods rich in fiber and minerals like root vegetables. You may feel drawn to eat foods like beets, pomegranates, radishes, red peppers, strawberries, or tomatoes.
Root chakra meditation: I sense my being, my roots into the earth. I am safe and secure in the hands of peace. I feel my body filling with pure clean energy coming from the cool soft deep earth.
